Junior Event Manager (M/F/X)

Your Role

With top-notch project management and a strong focus on success management, we bring together two days of startup conference and one day of (liquid) networking at the Oktoberfest—driving real business growth for our attendees. As a junior event manager, you’ll be at the centre of planning, organizing, executing, and following up on Europe’s leading festival for startups, investors and industry leaders. If you’re interested in the startup ecosystem and love rolling up your sleeves and making things happen, we can’t wait to hear from you!

Your tasks & responsibilities

Support the planning, organization and implementation of target group-specific features such as the Startup Exhibition, Startup Pitch Competition, Event App and more

Support in ensuring customer satisfaction per feature by
- Creating and providing clear briefing documents in coordination with the project lead
- Ensuring a positive customer experience through transparent communication and fast processing of requests
- Proactive troubleshooting (including on-site) of operational challenges to meet customer needs

Support in the development, expansion and maintenance of relationships with customers

Support in the further development of target group-specific features, e.g. by continuously analyzing the features with regard to our customers’ needs and our requirements

Continuous optimization of internal processes

Your Profile

• Completed studies or apprenticeship: You have completed relevant vocational training or studies and ideally already have some practical experience in planning and implementing projects (event management, project management, product management).

• Strong communication skills: You are an excellent communicator and know how to interact with both internal teams and external partners.

• Customer orientation: You have a strong sense of customer needs, take a solution-oriented approach, and deliver outstanding customer service.

• Organizational talent: You keep an overview even in complex projects, set priorities and ensure that deadlines are met.

• Initiative & hands-on mentality: You take initiative, think independently, and actively engage in finding solutions to continuously enhance processes and outcomes.

• Analytical thinking: You evaluate information, identify potential for improvement and make data-driven decisions to solve problems.

• Confident use of digital tools and platforms: You work confidently with modern project management and collaboration tools such as Trello, Asana, Notion, Slack or similar and maintain an overview even in more complex processes.

• Basic technical understanding of data processes and interfaces: You understand how data is stored, processed and transferred via APIs. Programming skills are not required, but you can understand and realistically assess technical requirements.

• Affinity for automation & AI-based process optimization: You are interested in using tools such as ChatGPT, Make or similar automation solutions to make workflows more efficient.

• Fluency in German and English: You communicate confidently in German and English, both orally and in writing.

Team player with a startup mindset: You enjoy working in a dynamic environment, are flexible and actively contribute new ideas.
